defending the homeland from its...citizens?

A story on Keith McCammon's adventure with the Arlington police on what you can and cannot photograph from the street(a public place).

I can relate, having had to tiptoe around the area of the port authority in Savannah when I was working on my thesis in 2004. I had a classmate that was detained for about 12 hours whilst they questioned him and his intentions. I was venturning out with my large format camera and taking pictures of the ground/walls mostly, so I was not bothered much, other than curious glances from passing police. I also chose to never point my camera in the direction of the P.A. area, even though I was right across the street at times.

Freedom isn't free, alright. Freedom is dead.
What we have left to work with are escapists who don't know anyone or refuse to acknowledge that people are being unlawfully held and harassed for going about their daily lives as Americans and those of us who know and have been affected.

Fear is the new security.

been a while...

i've been to california and back. i'm looking for a new home. i'm all sorts of things, but mostly i'm distracted. that's the worst. the cali shots aren't in yet-but I'll give you three from t&j's indiana wedding celebration at zydeco's in mooresville in early June and two of my new bead projects.
i'm knitting, too-I made my first beanie-it looks pretty decent.
(i've been more crafty than artsy lately)

enjoy.
